Emir is a purchasing and product development specialist with 7 years of professional experience in the food and beverage sector.
He served as a food procurement specialist at Real Hypermarkets between 2015-2017 and managed the milk and dairy products, fruit and vegetable and aquaculture categories. During his 3 years in the retail sector, he has made significant efforts on turnover development, brand management, contract management, and customer satisfaction.
After the retail channel, Emir worked as a food purchasing specialist at Shaya Magazacilik A.S. between 2017-2019. Food brands under its responsibility included Starbucks, Shake Shack, Le Pain Quotidien, Pinkberry and P.F. Chang’s. Emir undertook important works with its purchasing team in restaurant and EDT channels and has achieved significant savings for his company. Emir and his team have developed many sales success especially with Starbucks products and he has brought many start-up brands to the restaurant and EDT world.
Apart from his professional career, he has taken important roles in social responsibility and active citizenship projects in Junior Chamber International’s Istanbul branch. In 2018, Emir was appointed as the Director of the JCI Istanbul Networkist Project. Currently, he is the Director of the JCI Istanbul 2019 Transverse Longitudinal Franchising Project. In 2020, he will continue to serve as Vice President of International Projects at JCI Istanbul.
He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Aquatic Sciences in 2010. He also served as the Chair of the Underwater Club of Istanbul University in 2007-2008 and he is a Founding Member of Istanbul University Sailing Club. Emir is a sailor and a diver with a special interest in water sports.
